A Full Day Out and About in Milwaukee (With Good Company)😎

It was a beautiful day in Milwaukee.

From beginning to end, yesterday was one of those days that remind you just how much joy, strength, and love can fit into a single stretch of hours.

The morning began with a special reunion: Chrystal — Jason’s sister — came to visit, bringing warmth, comfort, and the kind of family connection that means the world on a healing journey like this. The trio shared a delicious brunch at The Blue Egg before making the most of a gorgeous Milwaukee afternoon.

They explored a local farmers market, visited a historic lighthouse, and stopped by a veterans memorial — where Gunnie even made a surprise appearance in one of the photos.😄

In the afternoon, another thoughtful goodie basket arrived, adding to the ongoing stream of kindness that has surrounded Tanya throughout her recovery. The day wrapped up with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory — a well-earned treat after such a full and joy-filled day.

Tanya was definitely tired by the evening — but in the best way. Her energy, mobility, and spirit continue to grow stronger, and it’s incredible to see how far she’s come in such a short time. 💕🎉

And with every bit of progress Tanya makes, you can feel the quiet momentum building behind Jason’s own path. Her recovery — and her extraordinary gift — continue to ripple forward, creating hope and possibility in Jason’s transplant journey with DOVE Transplant – Living Kidney Donation for Veterans.💙🙏
