On the Mend: Tanya’s Strength Shines After Kidney Donor Surgery 💪💕
🔹 Update (Afternoon, Nov 12): Tanya is out of the hospital and continuing her recovery at Kathy’s House. 💛 Scroll to the end of this post for more details.
Tanya’s recovery is going beautifully. She’s already up and walking — taking laps around the unit last night and again this morning! 🏃♀️
Pain is minimal (just a 1–2 out of 10 🙌), and her spirit is as strong as ever. This morning she was ready for some hot tea ☕ and looking forward to a real breakfast — and if all continues to go well, she’ll be heading back to Kathy’s House (@kathyshousemilwaukee) later today. 🎉
Every step Tanya takes brings Jason one step closer to his long-awaited kidney transplant through DOVE Transplant – Living Kidney Donation for Veterans. 💙
She truly is one tough, resilient cookie — and we couldn’t be more grateful for her incredible strength, grace, and heart.
