Surgery Day: An Extraordinary Act of Service on Veterans Day
🔹 Update (Afternoon, Nov 11): Tanya is out of surgery and doing well. 💙🩺 Scroll to the end of this post for more details.
Today’s the day💙🩺
Tanya’s prepped and headed to the OR — calm, strong, and surrounded by so much love. She’s doing great!
Yesterday was a reminder of how love shows up in the smallest ways — a visit from a therapy dog, a heartfelt card Tanya wrote to her recipient wishing them health and a speedy recovery ❤️🩹, and thoughtful handmade gifts from the team at Kathy’s House (@kathyshousemilwaukee), a place that truly wraps its guests in care and kindness.
On this Veterans Day, it feels especially meaningful to witness this act of service — one veteran’s journey to healing made possible through the generosity of another hero willing to give the gift of life. 🎖️💙🕊️
Every small gesture, every prayer, and every act of kindness is part of this incredible chain of giving — one that’s bringing Jason closer to his long-awaited kidney transplant through DOVE Transplant – Living Kidney Donation for Veterans.
